John, you have left a massive hole in the lives of everyone who knew you and counted as a friend. I have worked with many people but few who were as kind and thoughtful. You could not do enough for people - staff and students. You were such a gentle giant who would go out of your way to hold a door open or to make sure I started my day with a smile. I am so thankful to have known you. x
